Senator Uriah Tracy

A printed version of a speech, delivered in December of 1803, proposing the 11th amendment, concerning the (now controversial) electoral college. The pamphlet is printed on handmade paper, in a hand-sewn cover of darker handmade paper. There are two handwritten notes inked on the first page.  The pamphlet is worn and chipped but sturdy. Senator Tracy was from Connecticut.  Known for his keen wit and sharp sense of humor, Uriah Tracy was a widely respected attorney.  Protected in archival envelope.
