Red, cloth-covered boards; minor wear and natural ageing to the book, previous owner's name on the front free endpaper. The original, price-clipped dust jacket has general wear and loss to the spine, and a large tear on the front, poorly repaired with tape on the reverse. Dustjacket is scarce in any condition. Originally published individually, the trilogy was first published in one book in 1945. This copy was printed in 1951.
