This book is a rich collection of poems from celebrated and prolific American poet/biographer Carl Sandburg. Good Morning, America was written mid-career, between his first Pulitzer for poetry and second Pulitzer for his lengthy biography of Lincoln. This collection ranges from wispy and minimalistic to prosaic and full-bodied, often summoning up his midwestern roots. It is a beautifully designed book, with tiny illustrations in colored ink marking each new section.
